NASP - National Archery in the Schools Programme SA
The services provided by NASP-SA are to:
1. introduce the school attending youth of South Africa to the sport of archery;
2. initiate, plan, facilitate and implement archery programmes for the school attending youth
of South Africa also serving schools in less privileged communities;
3. initiate, plan, facilitate, and implement projects focused on providing infrastructure and
equipment to present the archery activities on a local, district as well as national level;
4. initiate, plan, facilitate, and implement projects focused on recruiting and training Basic
Archery Instructors (BAI) and Basic Archery Instructor Trainers (BAIT) on a local, district as
well as national level;
5. initiate, plan, facilitate, and implement archery activities and competitions amongst the
youth on a local, district, national level as well as international level, and
6. initiate, implement, and promote programmes to enhance the school attending youth of
South Africa’s participation in responsible outdoor activities.
7. All the above are also implemented to promote Adult Archery Group activities (AAG) under
NASP-SA alumni, NASP-SA instructors and other adult.
